Following the successful relaunch of Heady Vermont’s platform, the company has announced the return of The Headies. The cannabis media and events company hosts the state’s largest annual competition for growers.

The Return of The Headies

The 2018 and 2019 competitions attracted numerous competitors in several categories. These included THC and CBD flowers, concentrates, topicals, and edibles. The event concludes with an epic Awards Party. For next year, the organizers added new categories and free Awards entry for members. In the interest of keeping things COVID-safe, the Cup has been moved to spring so that attendees can enjoy warmer weather and a bit of extra room. The Awards event will showcase all entries, onsite demos, exhibitors, food, and live music.

“When we were looking at Heady this year, it was readily apparent that the Cup had the most potential for growth out of all of our signature events,” Heady Vermont CEO Monica Donovan said in a press release. “We’re looking forward to focusing some energy into not just growing this Cup along with the adult-use market, but making sure it continues to be a platform that showcases the best locally-grown cannabis and locally made products from the many talented small growers and makers that live and work here.”

To maximize participation, Heady Vermont has expanded the range of entry categories to include pre-rolls and additional concentrates. The company will also be announcing special guest judges. Finally, Heady Vermont has added a VIP membership option that provides for People’s Choice Judging.

Heady Vermont

Heady Vermont provides essential news, insights, and events to cannabis and hemp entrepreneurs, investors, and other industry participants invested in Vermont. They believe that building a just and equitable cannabis industry can have a positive and meaningful impact on all people and their overall well-being.

This is the company’s third annual event for The Headies. Donovan decided to continue the annual event, an extremely successful launch in 2018. “Last year’s participation levels kind of blew us away,” Donovan said last year. “It’s clear that Vermonters are deeply passionate about this plant.”

Finally, competitors may sign up now through early 2022. Judging will begin in February/March. Heady Vermont members receive discounts on competitor entries and free entry to the Awards Party. Awards Party tickets will go on sale in January.
